INNOVATETHENATION is VisitScotland’s new initiative that brings together experts, influencers and the next generation of innovators in a series of engaging talks throughout the country. Join a panel of teaching experts from across Scotland at INNOVATEEDUCATION and engage with the future of education in Scotland.
The event will explore how can Scotland ensure its education system innovates to meet the challenges of tomorrow – can we look to our Scandinavian neighbours for inspiration? What methods are needed, which skills are desired?
SCEL Lead Specialist Fearghal Kelly will discuss his work putting activities in place to support the development of teacher leadership and ask the question: what is leadership? And how do we unleash it?
Other speakers include Professor Mark Priestley, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Director of the Stirling Network for Curriculum Studies and author of Teacher Agency: an ecological approach.
Registration is free and includes a drinks reception after the talks to take the conversation further.
