About Early Learning and Childcare
We strive to ensure that our activities and resources address professional learning needs across all educational sectors and settings.
The position and crucial work of the Early Learning and Childcare sector is recognised and professional learning activities have been designed to ensure that they address the professional learning needs of teachers working within the sector, and also of leaders with a BA in childhood practice. The Framework for Educational Leadership has an increasing bank of resources specific to Early Learning and Childcare and learning activities have been reviewed and updated and are mapped to The Standard for Childhood Practice (Scottish Social Services Council, revised 2016).
SCEL has undertaken a scoping exercise to review opportunities for leadership learning for the Early Learning and Childcare sector.
