The process to transfer the roles and functions of the Scottish College for Educational Leadership is now complete, and from 3rd April 2018, the SCEL team will become part of the wider team at Education Scotland.
We will continue to deliver the high quality professional learning programmes and activities that have been an important part of our success to date. Our work will be jointly badged as part of Education Scotland, and work is already underway to enhance this leadership offer, aligning this with the work on wider professional learning already being taken forward across Education Scotland.
Whilst you can expect our work to continue and develop over the coming months, our contact details will change and you can find details of our new contact details here.
Gillian Hamilton, SCEL’s Chief Executive, who will join the Executive Team at Education Scotland on 2nd April, said:
“This is a great opportunity to build on the exciting work that SCEL has delivered so far. We are looking forward to joining Education Scotland at a time of significant positive change for the organisation and working collectively to support professional learning and leadership development for all educators across Scotland.”
Gayle Gorman, Chief Executive of Educations Scotland, said:
“As Education Scotland widens its remit and role, SCEL’s transfer in will be fundamental to developing new capabilities and ways of working. I am excited and pleased to be welcoming our new colleagues and the energy, expertise and commitment they bring. By pooling our expertise, we can build on the excellent work already being done by both organisations.”
