The inaugural Scottish College for Educational Leadership annual conference will take place at the Stirling Court Hotel on 12 May 2016.
We’ve brought together a programme of exciting and inspirational speakers to discuss teacher leadership, what makes for effective teacher leadership and how we can best support teacher leadership.
With contributions from SCEL and leaders out with the system, the 2016 Conference aims to:
- Share the main findings from our recent engagement work across Scotland on teacher leadership and to begin to build SCEL’s approach and activities on Teacher Leadership
- Provide opportunities to engage in discovery sessions focused on the development of teacher leadership
- Provide opportunities to learn from a variety of key speakers who will share their experience in developing others and supporting development of effective teacher leadership
Share your story
Delegates come to our conference to be motivated, re-energised and inspired, and if you have experience, knowledge and skills to share then we want to hear from you!
As part of our new discovery sessions, we are looking for people to share their teacher leadership experiences with conference participants. During the 50 minute sessions – which will have a small open atmosphere of discussion and collaboration – you may want to share an innovative leadership strategy, insightful perspective or inspiring case study that could benefit your fellow teachers.
We’re looking for a wide range of people to host a discovery session – so whether you are a teacher leader, middle leader, school leader or system leader – we’d love you to share your story.
