National Digital Learning Week is taking place from May 14th to May 18th. An annual Education Scotland event, #NDLW18 is a fantastic way of exploring digital learning and an opportunity to encourage creative activities in the classroom.
There are lots of ways to get involved in #NDLW18 but to help get things started Education Scotland are launching 2 main activities for schools across Scotland:
- An exclusive National Digital Story telling activity for 30 schools with famous children’s author Lari Don.
- A digital story telling activity schools can enjoy in their local setting.
To find out more about the activities and how you can participate, visit the Digital Learning Week blog.
And if you are looking to develop your own skills and understanding of digital learning then the SCEL Framework for Educational Leadership has an online learning activity to help.
The SCEL Framework is an online resource which supports professional learning in leadership for teachers at all stages of their careers. ‘Leading a digital learning strategy’, developed by Ollie Bray (Head Teacher, Kingussie High School) is a learning activity which will support you to evaluate the impact of digital learning within the context of school transformation.
All professional learning activities within the SCEL Framework for Educational Leadership are based on a model of professional learning and are mapped to the professional standards of the GTCS and SSSC.
We would love to hear what you have planned for #NDLW18. Tweet us @TeamSCEL with your ideas.
